Jorge Garca-Spitz
Jorge García-Spitz is an Editor, Motion Graphics Artist, and Post-Producer with Linton Media. He started studying film as a teaching assistant with a Film Minor at SMU in Dallas, while getting his B.S. in Engineering and Math. While getting by as a grip and production assistant on horror films and commercials, Jorge began interning in documentary production with Katherine at Linton Media.
After cutting his teeth as a PA and AE on the Out 100 for LOGO, Jorge worked in multiple capacities on the creation of episodes for network tv with LOGO’s Be Real, Lesbian Sex & Sexuality and MTV’s True Life series, in addition to supporting the media needs of non-profit organizations like GLSEN, FBNY and the James Beard Foundation. Jorge post produced the feature doc “Revolt Nation” for Revolt TV with director Robert Alexander. He has been editing spots, shorts, sizzles, trailers, web campaigns, and event programming for the last 10 years. Besides freelancing, Jorge served as the Assistant Director for Theo Stanley on “the Hierophant” and co-directed an award winning NY Bicycle Film Fest short with Jillian Buckley entitled “Je Suis Bike”. He also won a NY Innovative Theatre Award for “Outstanding Innovative Design” as part of the Steven Gridley’s animation team for the play “The Dudleys”, as well as several Folio Awards and 3 NY Emmy’s for his work editing short films with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
